In addition, NWS issues watches, warnings, and advisories for other hazards to mariners including dense fog and freezing spray conditions and special marine warnings for potentially hazardous marine weather conditions, usually of short duration (i.e. NOAA’s National Weather Service (NWS) issues marine weather watches, advisories, and warnings for hazardous winds and sea conditions.
